How does Daymint work?
Open Daymint and it’s today. Write as much or as little as you want. At midnight your page is minted: it turns into a coin, and Dot and Dash keep it. Then one day they bring it back, as a find.
You can see this again any time in the app: Settings, then How Daymint works.
Where did yesterday’s page go?
It was minted at midnight, and Dot and Dash are keeping it. It’s safe in your account. You won’t see it again until they bring it back one day as a find.
If you were still writing at midnight, the page stays open until you leave the app. The new day starts the next time you come back.
Can I scroll back through old pages?
No, and that’s the idea. There’s nothing to reread, compare or keep up with, so it’s always just today. Your old pages come back to you as finds, a little at a time.
When do finds come?
Once you have pages a few days old, Dot and Dash start bringing them back, at most one a day and usually a few days apart. A page can come back after a few days, then after weeks and months, and on its anniversary.
If you’d like a heads-up, turn on “Tell me when they find something” in Settings. Today’s find stays in the header until midnight, so you can open it again.
Can I choose which days come back?
Supporters get the find mix in Settings, a slider from “Recent days” to “Older days”. It changes which days come back, not how often. How often is always up to Dot and Dash, because the surprise is the fun.
I used Her Voice. Where are my entries?
Her Voice is now Daymint. Sign in with the same Apple or Google account and everything is still in your account. Your Her Voice entries come back as finds, alongside your new pages.
I got a new iPhone. How do I get my pages?
Install Daymint and sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used before. Dot and Dash still have every page.
Does Daymint cost anything?
Writing is free, with no limits, and always will be. If you’d like to help keep Daymint going, you can become a Copper, Silver or Gold supporter. Supporters get paper styles, more app icons, the find mix and a thank-you from Dot and Dash.
How do I cancel or change a supporter subscription?
Supporter subscriptions are monthly and renew until you cancel. Apple manages them: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Daymint. Or open the App Store subscriptions page.
If you’ve reinstalled or switched phones, tap Restore purchases on the supporter screen in Daymint.
Who can see my pages?
Your pages are stored on our servers so they’re in your account on any iPhone. They aren’t end-to-end encrypted, and the people who run Daymint can access them, for example to fix a problem you’ve reported. We don’t sell your pages, we never send them to analytics or advertising companies, and Daymint doesn’t send them to AI services.
The privacy policy has the details.
How do I delete my account?
In Daymint, open Settings and tap Delete account. That deletes your account and every page from our servers and your phone, and it can’t be undone. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a supporter subscription, so cancel that first if you have one.
I can’t sign in.
Check that you’re online and using the same Apple or Google account as before. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, use Sign in with Apple again, not Google. Still stuck? Write to us with the email address on your account and we’ll sort it out.
